Local Market
Visiting the local fresh market provides insight into Thai culture and the local Khao Lak lifestyle. It also offers the exciting experience of discovering the unexpected and observing the hustle bustle of the market scene. The closest fresh market is located in Bang Niang village opposite the Navy Boat of the Tsunami Museum and is a 10-minute drive from Le Meridien Khao Lak Beach & Spa Resort. The market is open every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from 4pm to 6pm and features myriad vendors selling local specialties, from dried and fresh spices, fresh vegetables, flowers, fruits and seafood to garments and souvenir items, as well as local snacks freshly cooked at the cooking stations.
Le Meridien Khao Lak provides a weekly Market Tour for the hotel's guests every Saturday from 4:00pm to 5:30pm at a charge. (weather permitting)
